I have lived in Cape Breton all my life. I grew up in rural Gardiner Mines as Betty Strang, the youngest of five.

I then married Merrill Carmichael and we had three boys of our own. Along with raising three busy boys, I worked in administration, sales, and interior decorating.

 

The three boys are all grown up, so it's back to just Merrill and I where we settled on the beautiful Mira. Over my eight years of selling real estate, I have been a top seller in my brokerage of which I am proud.
